Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office Clamps Down on Illegal Street Racing in Patterson

Street racing is dangerous, and the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office warns that it is prohibited in their jurisdiction. Deputies cited two individuals for participating in an illegal speed contest on private property previously linked to unlawful racing, according to a Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office social media post.

The alert came after reports of suspected street racing near Ward and Sperry avenues in Patterson. Deputy Garcia stopped two vehicles traveling over 90 mph while a crowd watched. ‘Think twice about unlawful racing in Stanislaus County,’ the sheriff’s office warned. The drivers were cited for illegal racing, and their vehicles were impounded.
