(FOX40.COM) — The Tracy Police Department has arrested two adults and cited juveniles after it targeted a retail crime operation on Friday.
Tracy police said the department’s General Investigations Unit, Special Investigations Unit and Special Enforcement Team worked together on a targeted organized retail crime operation to protect local businesses.
According to TPD, during the operation, officers spotted two adults trying to leave a store with a cart full of unpaid merchandise. The male suspect ran from officers when they attempted to contact him; however, he was quickly caught after a short foot pursuit.
The female suspect resisted arrest before being taken into custody, TPD said. All stolen items were turned in and both adults were booked into the San Joaquin County Jail…
