Patterson High Student Arrested for Bringing Replica Gun to School, Prompting Lockdown and Charges

A Patterson High School student was arrested after bringing what appeared to be a replica firearm on campus, leading to a school lockdown. The situation unfolded at about 3:30 p.m. on Friday when Stanislaus County Sheriff’s deputies were called to investigate, as reported by FOX40. A lockdown was initiated after reports indicated a student had displayed the weapon to another student.

Deputies were dispatched to locate a student after a reported weapon on campus. Surveillance footage confirmed the incident, and, with help from school staff, a 16-year-old male student was identified as responsible. The lockdown was lifted after authorities confirmed he had left campus, according to The Modesto Bee.

Following the campus incident, the deputies proceeded to the student’s home. Upon their arrival, they located the juvenile and recovered an imitation firearm. The student was taken into custody and faced charges including felony criminal threats, misdemeanor threats on a school campus, along possession of a replica firearm.
