December 11, 2025 – Amador County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Tuesday, December 9, at about 6:30 P.M., an alert Deputy located a stolen car trailer being towed by a truck, which was parked at a gas station in Buena Vista. Before the vehicle’s occupants were able to leave, the deputy, with assistance from CHP officers and an Ione Police Officer, was able to detain the four occupants.
During the ensuing search of the truck, a loaded semi-automatic handgun was located hidden inside a Cheez-It box, in the bed of the truck. Additional suspicious items were located during the search as well, including drug paraphernalia, burglary tools and ski masks, and suspected stolen bank cards. Two men and one woman from Manteca who were all convicted felons were arrested for possession of stolen property, multiple firearm related charges, illegal narcotic charges, and several outstanding arrest warrants…
