(FOX40.COM) — A court hearing that was supposed to move a high-profile sex crimes case forward resulted in another delay Tuesday at the Stanislaus County Courthouse.
James Hooker, 55, a former Modesto City Schools teacher, was back in court for what was supposed to be a setting for a preliminary hearing. Instead, it stalled after Hooker’s defense attorney asked for more time, citing ongoing health concerns. The judge pushed the preliminary hearing date to March 16, 2026.
