WINTON, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man arrested for suspected DUI over the weekend was also found driving through Winton with a short-barreled rifle.
The arrest came after police pulled the driver over for speeding. During the stop, police say they found a loaded handgun in the center console and a short-barreled rifle with a round in the chamber in the spare tire compartment.
They also say they found high-capacity magazines loaded with 31 rounds and that both firearms were unregistered.
