The Manteca Police Department, in partnership with proudtobemusd, has announced plans to host a town hall on human trafficking in recognition of Human Trafficking Awareness Month. Taking place on January 15 at the Manteca Transit Center, the event aims to equip community members with information and tools to aid in the detection and prevention of human trafficking. “Every person who attends becomes another informed advocate, another set of eyes and ears able to recognize the signs of trafficking in our neighborhoods, businesses, and even online spaces,” the Manteca Police Department stated in a recent social media post.
