Police are investigating a west Modesto shooting that occurred Saturday night near Paradise Road and Wade Avenue and left one person wounded.
Initial reports were that two subjects had been shot, but officers found one man suffering a gunshot wound and another who had been assaulted, according to a Modesto Police Department news release Sunday night.
