Amador County, CA – A unique stolen wallet investigation ended up in an arrest twist after it turned up on a Stockton man several days later.
The Amador County Sheriff’s Office recently received a call reporting the loss of a “very unique” wallet at a bar, and fraudulent credit card charges had already been made. Deputies then contacted multiple businesses where the stolen cards had been used, looking for security camera video of the thief.
About a week later, on Coal Mine Road in the Jackson Valley area, a deputy made a traffic stop on a blue Ford Explorer SUV for expired registration. Inside was a Stockton man, wearing a red flannel coat, who was on probation and had a felony warrant for his arrest. That allowed for a search of the SUV and him, and he was found to have methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on him.
