New Stanislaus County book club launches. Here’s the first guest, what makes it special

The Salida public library will host the Stanislaus County League of Women Voters’ new book club featuring the first Black judge in Northern California.

“It’s an honor to be asked to participate in this, to kick off their first book club,” said retired judge and author LaDoris Hazzard Cordell.
