Sacramento, California – A fast-moving weather system is sliding across Northern California on Wednesday, bringing scattered light rain to the valleys and snow to higher elevations of the Sierra, with minor travel impacts expected later today and into the evening.

According to the National Weather Service in Sacramento, rain will be light and spotty, focused mainly across the foothills and mountain areas, while snow levels hover between about 4,500 and 5,500 feet.
