Stockton neighborhood still waiting on traffic calming measures after decade of requests

STOCKTON, Calif. — Residents in Stockton’s Swain Oaks neighborhood say they are hopeful, but frustrated, after years of asking the city to slow traffic on their residential streets.

People who live in the area say speeding cars have been a daily problem for nearly a decade, making walks and crossings along Longview Avenue and Woodland Drive feel unsafe.
