Survivor of Stockton mass shooting is killed elsewhere

Emmanuel Jose Felix Lopez of San Joaquin County believed he had survived the worst night of his life after masked gunmen opened fire at a child’s birthday party in Stockton, Calif., on Nov. 29, a massacre that left four people dead and at least 13 others wounded. Among the injured was Lopez’s 9-year-old daughter, who was shot in the head.

One month later, Lopez was dead himself.

The 33-year-old was fatally shot on Dec. 28 at an apartment complex in Stockton in what police have described as a possibly gang-related killing, according to Yahoo! News. His death has added another layer of grief and confusion to a city still reeling from one of its deadliest mass shootings in recent history.
