San Joaquin County Sheriff’s vehicles collide while responding to reckless riders

STOCKTON, Calif. — Two San Joaquin County sheriff’s patrol vehicles were involved in a collision Tuesday evening while deputies were responding to reports of dangerous off-road vehicle activity.

According to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened shortly after 5 p.m. along East Main Street, near the canal, as deputies attempted to intervene with dirt bike and quad riders who were allegedly operating recklessly in the area.

During the response, the patrol vehicles struck one another. Both deputies were taken for medical evaluation as a precaution. Authorities have not released details on the extent of their injuries…
