Three sheriff’s deputies injured, released from hospital after patrol vehicles crash

Three San Joaquin County sheriff’s deputies were released from a local hospital after they were injured when two patrol vehicles crashed on Monday evening.

The sheriff’s office reported the deputies were responding to a call concerning dirt bike and ATV riders driving recklessly about 5 p.m. at a canal near East Main Street and South Gills Road. The sheriff’s office reported the riders did not stop during the pursuit.

On Tuesday morning, Heather Brent of the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department stated the injuries to the deputies were not serious and they had been released from the hospital after medical evaluation…
