Mother, daughter plead not guilty to witness tampering in Stockton case

A mother and daughter charged with witness tampering, bribery and conspiracy in connection with the 2022 prosecution of Nicholas Bloed entered not guilty pleas Wednesday.

Mary Greenberg, 62, and Kramer Greenberg, 34, are licensed private investigators who worked on behalf of Bloed, according to the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office. Bloed is a former Stockton Police Department sergeant who was sentenced to eight years in state prison earlier this year for sexually assaulting a woman while on duty.

The hearing marked the Greenberg’s second court appearance since their arrest was announced in November 2025…
