Man arrested after driving 100 mph with child, weapon in vehicle

(FOX40.COM) — A man was arrested after hitting speeds of up to 100 mph when attempting to run from police in San Joaquin County — his child and a loaded “assault-style” rifle in the vehicle with him.

California Highway Patrol officers said they attempted to pull the man over on Highway 99 after seeing him driving recklessly.

Officers discontinued the pursuit after they said they saw a child in the vehicle…
