(FOX40.COM) — The Salvation Army low-barrier homeless shelter on South Ninth and D Streets will now remain open through June after being granted a temporary extension.
Back in September, the shelter was issued a six-month notice to terminate its lease agreement with Stanislaus County due to budget shortfalls. County officials say the decision came mostly from major cuts to state funding.
