January 29, 2026 – Yuba County, CA – Yuba County Sheriff’s Office officials report that a multi-agency investigation led by the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has resulted in guilty pleas from three Stockton residents involved in a heroin trafficking operation that supplied drugs throughout Northern California, including the Yuba-Sutter region.
The investigation, that began in September 2022, focused on Alberto Ojeda Lopez, 69, his wife, Maria Medina Silvas, 66, and their daughter, Alecsa Ojeda de Oregel, 44. With assistance from Homeland Security Investigations and IRS Criminal Investigation, agents identified the family as key participants in a drug distribution network operating out of their Stockton home.
During the investigation, undercover officers conducted multiple controlled purchases of heroin from members of the Ojeda family.
