SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, Calif. — A determined San Joaquin County Sheriff’s K-9 led deputies to a burglary suspect hiding beneath a home.
Deputies were dispatched after a homeowner reported damage to a rear door and noises coming from inside the house. Officers searched room by room but initially found no intruder. As they prepared to leave, K-9 Jet signaled again, indicating someone was still nearby.
The alert led deputies back to a bedroom closet, where a locked crawl space provided access under the house. With visibility limited, K-9 Deputy Engeldinger deployed Jet into the tight space. The dog continued to alert, refusing to move on despite nothing being immediately visible…
