Person rescued from Ceres house fire. Firefighter hospitalized, MFD says

A person was rescued from a house fire early Monday morning in Ceres, according to the Modesto Fire Department.

Firefighters were dispatched around 6:24 a.m. to a reported working structure fire in the 3000 block of Burton Drive. While crews were responding, 911 callers reported that someone was still inside the home and that flames were visible from Doyle Avenue, according to Capt. Joe Spani of the Modesto Fire Department.

Firefighters made what officials described as an aggressive interior attack to search for and rescue the occupant. Crews quickly located the person and removed them from the residence…
