For the past 60 years, Weberstown Mall has been a staple for shoppers in Stockton.
On Feb. 17, the shopping center on Pacific Avenue celebrated its anniversary at center court with a ribbon cutting with the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce, gift card giveaways, a photo booth, cake and more, mall officials said. Those in attendance also had the opportunity to “share a memory” of their favorite mall experience on a community wall.
Weberstown Mall officially opened Feb. 15, 1966, according to Melissa Gomes, general manager for Mershops Weberstown Mall and Spinoso Real Estate Group. While the shopping center has been known as Weberstown Mall for nearly its entire history, it opened as Weberstown Shopping Center and recently rebranded as Mershops Weberstown Mall following its acquisition by the Mersho family (Mershops) in July 2025…
