STOCKTON, Calif. — In 2025, Stockton’s violent crime rate dropped to its lowest level in 15 years. Stockton Police Chief Stanley McFadden announced the drop in violent crime during an interview with ABC10 Thursday.
“It is a time to be happy for the progress, because the bottom line is fewer people fell victim to crime in Stockton, not only last year, we’re going back over a decade,” McFadden said. “We’re at 15-year lows when it comes to those who are victimized by violent crime. When it comes to those that fall victim to property crime, again 15-year lows. We’re at 13-year lows for those who are injured in a shooting.”
McFadden added that homicide rates are the lowest in six years and that crimes against youth have been decreasing since 2020…
