(FOX40.COM) — A sergeant with the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office died Tuesday after suffering a medical emergency on the job, officials said.
SJCSO said Sergeant Jason Whelen was chatting with coworkers at the end of his shift when he suddenly collapsed. There was an immediate response, however, despite extensive life-saving efforts to save Sergeant Whelen, he did not survive.
