A red Chevy truck heading westbound on Highway 4 swerved into the eastbound lanes near the Old River Bridge. The truck driver applied his brakes and collided with a work truck heading eastbound, according to CHP.

The work truck clipped a motorcycle that was behind the Chevy before overturning into the canal. CHP said the driver of the work truck died at the scene, while the motorcyclist had minor injuries.
