STOCKTON, Calif. — Officials at the University of the Pacific are exploring plans to open a new medical school in Stockton and are seeking the city’s help to secure federal funding for the project.
During a special meeting on Monday, the Stockton City Council voted unanimously to submit a federal grant application on behalf of the university as it pursues the proposed school of medicine.
