The 7th Street Bridge in Modesto is officially closed to allow for construction of a replacement bridge. Detours are in place to maintain access across the Tuolumne River. Through traffic should use Highway 99, local trips can use the 9th Street Bridge, and pedestrians and bicyclists can cross using existing trails and temporary pathways.
Construction of the new bridge is expected to continue through early 2028. The City of Modesto is coordinating with Stanislaus County to align work on the River Trunk Pump Station Project with the bridge construction to avoid additional roadway closures…
