The Stanislaus Council of Governments (StanCOG) has appointed Amber Collins as its new Executive Director, effective March 18, 2026. Collins brings more than 17 years of experience in transportation planning and leadership, including previous roles as Executive Director and Planning Director for the Calaveras Council of Governments and as a senior manager at the consulting firm Mark Thomas. She holds degrees in Agribusiness, Engineering, and City & Regional Planning from Cal Poly. StanCOG oversees regional transportation planning and administers Measure L, the county’s half‑cent sales tax for transportation improvements.
