Five charged in methamphetamine conspiracy in California

SACRAMENTO, California — A federal grand jury has indicted five individuals from Mexico on charges related to methamphetamine manufacturing and distribution, according to Attorney General Pamela Bondi and U.S. Attorney Eric Grant.

Luis Reyna Carrillo, 33, and his wife Mariana Vanessa Mendoza Camacho, 33, both face charges of conspiracy to manufacture, distribute, and possess methamphetamine with intent to distribute. Carrillo also faces additional charges, including possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense, according to the press release.

Juan Jesus Manriquez Diaz, 31, is charged with similar drug-related offenses, as well as possession of a firearm and ammunition as an alien. Alvaro Rosales, 44, and Manuel Juan Madrid Perez, 38, also face multiple drug charges. Perez, who has prior felony convictions, is additionally charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm…
