Construction has started on the 7th Street Bridge replacement project in Modesto. The historic Lion Bridge, which has served the community for over a century, will be replaced with a safer, modern crossing over the Tuolumne River. The new bridge will include four traffic lanes, bike lanes, and protected pedestrian paths.
