A devastating fire early Sunday on Leon Avenue in west Modesto claimed the life of a 7-year-old girl and left her mother, Maribel Iniguez, 35, and 9-year-old sister critically injured. Maribel has since been declared brain-dead, and doctors say her older daughter will not survive.
