Hail, fallen trees and minor flooding hit Stockton in overnight storm

STOCKTON, Calif. — Daylight revealed the mess left behind by an overnight storm in Stockton, where residents began cleaning up even as more rain loomed.

Heavy rain, lightning, thunder and even hail moved through the Valley overnight, bringing strong winds that knocked down tree branches and scattered debris across neighborhoods.

On Pacific Avenue in Stockton, two large tree branches fell and blocked a lane for hours. It did not appear to hit anyone or damage any vehicles, but nearby, neighbors said a large tree limb crashed onto a parked car overnight. No injuries were reported…
