Family’s ‘worst nightmare’: Stockton mom of 4 in coma after hit-and-run days before 50th birthday

STOCKTON, Calif — A Stockton family is facing what they call every child’s worst nightmare — waiting and hoping their mother wakes up after a hit-and-run crash.

Stockton Police say the collision happened just after midnight April 20 near Hammer Lane and Etna Street in Stockton, where officers responded to a hit-and-run involving a bicyclist and found a woman in the roadway.
