ICE raises immigration questions after deadly San Joaquin crash

SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, Calif. — A man accused of causing a deadly semi-truck crash in Lodi that killed two people pleaded not guilty Thursday during his arraignment in San Joaquin County.

Prosecutors said Manvir Singh was driving about 50 mph and did not brake before crashing into another vehicle, killing a 20-year-old and a 16-year-old.

“There is no skid marks on the road prior to the collision,” the San Joaquin County District Attorney said in court. “Meaning that he did not step on the brakes and he indicated that he was going 50-60 mph when he crashed into the first car.”…
