San Joaquin DA: State charges dropped for Steven Rodriguez, case moved to federal level

STOCKTON, Calif. — The San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office announced Thursday that state charges against Steven Rodriguez have been dismissed as he faces federal prosecution.

The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office says 57-year-old Steven Rodriguez was arrested May 7 on multiple weapons-related charges, including possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of a short-barreled rifle and unlawful possession of ammunition.
