John E. Amari, a former Alabama lawmaker and retired judge who spent decades in public service, died May 27 surrounded by family and friends. He was 77.
“The accomplishments were impressive. The man behind them was unforgettable,” his family said in his obituary.
“He could walk into a room full of people who disagreed about everything and leave with them laughing together.”…
