WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – Nearly two years after a 70-year-old Alabama man died during what was supposed to be a spleen removal surgery in Walton County, the criminal case against Dr. Thomas Shaknovsky is slowly moving forward.
Shaknovsky faces a charge of second-degree manslaughter after he allegedly removed Bill Bryan’s liver instead of his spleen in the August 2024 procedure in Miramar Beach.
