MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Montgomery Mayor Steven L. Reed is traveling to Long Beach, California, this week for the U.S. Conference of Mayors’ annual meeting, where city leaders from across the country are expected to focus on issues including housing costs, public safety and infrastructure.
Reed will join more than 200 mayors for the 94th Annual Meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, which includes committee sessions and policy discussions aimed at setting the group’s agenda for the coming year, according to the mayor’s office.
The mayors are also expected to vote on policy resolutions that will guide the organization’s work and to inaugurate San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria as the conference’s next president…
