MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Sammy Stephens – the man behind the iconic “Flea Market Montgomery” jingle – is almost two decades removed from his early-internet fame, but he says a recent hit movie has proved that his video hasn’t left the minds of pop culture fanatics.
The recent hit psychological horror film “Backrooms” made a subtle nod to the mid-2000’s commercial, and Stephens says that reference has caused renewed interest in what he’s up to.
