MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – One final push of rain moves through the northern parts of the state through the morning, then some of the hottest air we’ve seen so far this summer settles in for the opening half of the new work week.
TODAY: WEAKENING LINE OF STORMS, THEN DRY AND HOT
Your Monday morning could start off a bit stormy, especially over the northern third of the state. A complex of thunderstorms is riding around the edge of a ridge and dropping southward from the Midwest early this morning. This activity is expected to weaken as it moves through the northern parts of Alabama, but we could still see a little bit of rain and a few rumbles of thunder before it completely runs out of steam just before mid-morning. Skies clear behind that complex of storms, and temperatures turn noticeably hotter right along with it. Most places likely see highs in the middle 90s with feels-like temperatures between 105° and 110°. Heat Advisories are already in effect through Tuesday evening…
