MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – A new school with a non-traditional curriculum is set to open in Montgomery County in less than two weeks, welcoming more than 140 students to the Montgomery Public School System’s new Cybersecurity Intelligence Magnet Academy (CIA).
Located on the Park Crossing High School campus, school leaders say the academy operates independently from the traditional high school. It aims to prepare students for high-paying, real-world tech careers immediately upon graduation through hands-on training rather than purely theoretical instruction.
Ninth and tenth graders entering the academy will focus on three critical academic pathways:
- Cyber intelligence
- Business information technology
- Law enforcement
