MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – A man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for his role in a 2024 shootout inside a Montgomery package store.
Montgomery County District Attorney Azzie Oliver says 21-year-old Larry Deontae Flournoy pleaded guilty this week to two counts of attempted murder and one count of second-degree assault.
Oliver says on October 5, 2024, surveillance video captured Flournoy entering a tobacco and beverage shop in the 2000 block of East South Boulevard. She says Flournoy, who was wearing a mask and carrying an AR-style rifle, opened fire on a group of people inside the business, which triggered a shootout.
