MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) — Two deadly shootings involving suspects who police say were already out on bond are raising questions about whether Alabama’s current system is doing enough to protect the public.
The cases come as Montgomery police and city leaders call for tougher measures for people accused of violent crimes. Recent changes to Alabama’s Aniah’s Law could give prosecutors another tool to seek no-bond holds in certain cases.
