FRIDAY AND THE WEEKEND: A surface front will approach, which could bring an increase in the number of scattered storms to Alabama Friday and Saturday. It won’t rain everywhere, but odds of any one spot will rise into the 30/40 percent range. The front washes out by Sunday, when showers will be fewer in number.
