MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – A man was taken into custody Sunday afternoon after allegedly stealing an SUV, leading Montgomery police on a brief high-speed chase, crashing the vehicle outside Faulkner University, then fleeing armed across school grounds.
According to Montgomery police, officers responded to the 3000 block of Atlanta Highway around 2 p.m. after receiving a report of a stolen vehicle.
At the scene, the victim notified police that the suspect, identified as Nicholas Lucas, had taken his SUV without permission and noted that a firearm was inside the vehicle.
