Montgomery firefighters evacuated three people from a house at about 2:04 a.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of Lake Street, officers said.
Firefighters were met with smoke and flames at the large single-story residential structure. They did not find anyone inside, Assistant Chief Stanley Cooper said in an email.
No firefighters or civilians received injuries in the fire. The Bureau of Investigations is investigating the cause of the fire, Cooper said in the email.
