Anyone who was anybody was at Wetumpka Elementary School for a retirement party last week. Who wouldn’t be? The retiring employee was a success story. She was thrown out of her home as a single mother. She went to prison. But soon after, she started a career that spanned 63 dog years of service to students, staff and faculty.
