Reward increased to $15,000 for information about 2014 murder in Montgomery

A $15,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to an arrest in a 2014 cold case homicide. It has been almost ten years since Charlie “Jay” McCord was murdered in his barber shop on Mt. Meigs Road in Montgomery. District Attorney Darryl Bailey, CrimeStoppers, and the Montgomery County Cold Case Unit are asking for the public to look at new video in hopes that someone may remember something from that day. Charlie “Jay” McCord’s sister Furlesia Bell said, “I don’t know what you are facing, I don’t know the circumstances that brought that info to you, but we need you to come forward to give his kids and our family and the community peace.”
