MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Community members are remembering Montgomery’s role in a pivotal point in civil rights history, the 1965 march from Selma to Montgomery. “It’s an old saying, if you don’t know where you come from, you don’t know where you’re going,” said Reverend Dr. Jacquelyn Denson, Presiding Elder of the 9th Episcopal district AME church. “It’s important for us to constantly remind our youth that this was a part of our history.”
