Wetumpka’s defense will face its biggest test this week. After a disheartening one-point loss on the road at Chelsea last week, Wetumpka returns to the friendly confines of home and is set to host Russell County in the AHSAA Class 6A, Region 3 opener at the Wetumpka Sports Complex on Friday.
